Anne Linow (Germany) with an orphaned white-tailed rat (Uromys caudimaculatus) with baby-eyes beginning to open. These wonderful native rats are about the size of a kitten, are non- aggressive and hardly have any ratty smell. We think mum rat was eaten by a python. Anne is studying at the University of Osnabrueck, Germany, and has raised many baby animals while volunteering at the local zoo.
