CONSERVATION COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT
The Foundation has entered into a Cooperative Management Agreement with the Wet Tropics Management Authority to:
Rehabilitate, conserve and protect biological diversity, ecological integrity, and cultural values of the Land to transmit to future generations the biological diversity, ecological integrity, and cultural values of the Land to live and work sustainably on the land.
In return, the Authority will be supporting the regeneration work of the Foundation, and providing assistance with the future expansion of the "Bat House" - the Cape Tribulation Environmental Center, which is planned to coincide with the opening of the new "Dubijee" day use area and forest boardwalk nearby.
If you want to contribute to discussion on the Daintree (or other environmental matters) please join OZ-ENVIROLINK list server, set up primarily for Australian conservation activities (not that we'd discourage input from elsewhere!).
